What is Prokera®?

The Prokera® Treatment Process

Insertion: The Prokera® device is placed on the eye in a procedure similar to inserting a contact lens. The process is quick and usually well-tolerated by patients. Healing Period: Prokera® remains on the eye for several days to a week, depending on the severity of the condition being treated. During this time, the amniotic membrane works to heal and regenerate the ocular surface. Removal: After the treatment period, the Prokera® device is removed during a follow-up visit. Our optometrists will assess your healing progress and provide any necessary additional care.
